Walram, lord of Valkenburg and Monschau, announces that the director and the convent of St. Gerlach in Houthem, with the consent of the deacon and chapter of St. Servaas church in Maastricht, in free possession of the chapter, have built a wall around their monastery on a small strip of land on the side of Berg against a hereditary annual interest. Walram acknowledges that he has no rights to this land.

Innotuit nobis quod dilecti nostri prepositus et conventus sancti Gerlaci, ordinis Premonstratensis, de consensu ac voluntate virorum venerabilium decani et capituli ecclesie sancti Servatii Traiectensis murum qui ambit eorum claustrum, in allodio dicte ecclesie sancti Servatii construxerunt, ita quod in ea parte muri qua est versus villam de Berghe dicti prepositus et conventus unum bonnarium terre in longitudine et unam virgatam terre, decem et septem videlicet pedes, in latitudine tam in ipso muro quam intra eundem murum possidere noscuntur. De quo quidem allodio dicti prepositus et conventus duos denarios Leodiensis annuatim proximo die dominico post festum beati Andree apostoli dicte ecclesie hereditarie solvere promiserunt, profitentes se per hoc non amplius iuris habere vel habituros esse in bonis ecclesie supradicte. Nos etiam tenore presentium recognoscimus et profitemur nihil amplius iuris ab huiusmodi concessione nobis acquisitum esse vel deinceps acquirendum fore in allodio sive bonis ecclesie memorate.

Walram, heer van Valkenburg en Monschau, maakt bekend dat proost en convent van het premonstratenzerklooster Sint-Gerlach met instemming van deken en kapittel van de Sint-Servaaskerk te Maastricht in het allodium van de kerk van Sint-Servaas een muur hebben gebouwd die om het klooster Sint-Gerlach heen loopt.
In het gedeelte van de muur in de richting van Berg blijken proost en convent zowel onder de muur als erbinnen in de lengte één bunder te bezitten en in de breedte één roede, namelijk zeventien voet. Proost en convent van Sint-Gerlach hebben beloofd uit het allodium jaarlijks erfelijk twee penning Luiks te betalen op de eerste zondag na Sint-Andreas en verklaren hierdoor geen verder recht te hebben of zullen hebben op de goederen van de Sint-Servaaskerk. Ook erkent en bevestigt Walram dat hij door deze instemming geen enkel recht meer verworven heeft of zal trachten te verwerven op dit allodium of de goederen van de Sint-Servaaskerk.
